Hugging this character: Unwise, but if it's done fast and then running away, you might get away with it.

Injuring this character (include limits and severity): He can take some punishment. He's only human, even if he's a pretty solid one.
Killing this character: Not without discussing it first.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: He has no defense against it and won't be expecting it, but it's dark in there.

Warnings: Illya has good control, but he has documented volatile anger issues and there are some triggers for that. His parents are a very sensitive subject, for one, and he'll get violent if they're brought up. If he isn't in a place where he can lash out, he'll walk away.
